D-Route 10 / Elbe Cycle Route

The Elbe is Germany's largest river and with its largely natural course, can be navigated by ships but it is not regulated and canalized. The center part of the Elbe still has several large pastures with extensive floodplains. The main part between Hamburg and Dresden is the most frequented cycle route in Germany. D-Route 10 is, with the exception of a few short passages in Saxony, virtually ascent-free.
