The Münsterland region

On one stage of D-Route 3, cyclists get to know the vast park landscape of Münsterland.

You start in Vreden and are directly right in the middle of one of North-Rhine Westphalia's largest natural reserves, Zwillbrocker Venn. This wetland is home to animals such as the black-headed gull and flamingos. Moated castles and old farms adorn the route all the way to the university city of Münster.

Take a short break and enjoy some cultural sights, such as the Pablo Picasso Museum of Graphic Art or stroll across the beautiful Principal Market and enjoy the extraordinary flair of the city of Münster.

Pass through the small pilgrimage site Telgte to the equestrian town of Warendorf. A tour through Telgte's historic city center as well as a visit to the NRW State Stud in Warendorf are an absolute must.
