Eisenach

Eisenach is the hometown of Johann Sebastian Bach. At the Bach House, visitors can listen to a live rendition on historic instruments. Martin Luther spend three school years in the city, the period which the modern exhibition in the Lutherhaus pays tribute to. The second largest Wagner collection is located in the Eisenach Reuter-Villa, a museum which is dedicated to the Low-German poet Fritz Reuter. The "Automobile World Eisenach" documents the more than 100 year-old history of the automobile. The famous 168 km Rennsteig beckons visitors to hike and cycle.
