Regensburg and Passau

The two most important cities of eastern Bavarian are about 150 km apart and both are worth visiting.  The historic city center of the vibrant industrial city of Regensburg with its towers and patrician house is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The bishops city Passau, situated between three rivers (Danube, Inn, Ilz) has an Italian air to it as well as impressive Baroque architecture.
